Bofors 40 Mk3 Naval Gun
Bofors Defence
40 mm Mk 3 is a versatile system
for use as an air defence gun on larger naval vessels or as the main
armament on smaller craft for combating both surface and aerial
targets.
The digitized
and computer controlled gun, which is
constructed largely of non-magnetic materials to reduce weight and
magnetic signature, has full remote control as well as a local
control back-up mode.
The 101-round
magazine contains more
than enough ammunition for ten engagements, ensuring the Mk 3's high
level of endurance.
And with the
Bofors Defence round it has the ability to
defeat anti-ship missiles, attack aircraft and helicopters as well
as surface targets and on-shore targets.
