40 mm Combat Vehicle Gun System

The Bofors 40 mm L/70 gun forms the basis of this highly effective system, designed exclusively as a multi-role weapon for light combat vehicles.

The gun is supplied by an easy-to-fill 24 round magazine. Three different natures of ammunition can be rapidly handled in the magazine compartments.

And the immediate shift between ammunition compartments gives the right nature of ammunition for the selected target.

All types of Bofors' 40 mm L/70 ammunition can be used, but there are two specific types for the combat role of this weapon system: the armour-piercing APFSDS-T for assault missions and 3P round for those other targets on the battlefield.

The 40 mm APFSDS-T, for combating MBTs from the side or rear, was specially developed for the CV 90. It is the most powerful penetrator in operation in this calibre and is available as a standard version and IM (insensitive munitions) version.

The gun and ammunition system OI the complete turret can be acquired individually.
